We are happy to report that my piece "An Attitude of Gratitude" was accepted for Wayman Publishing's upcoming Parenthood Anthology.

On a down note, however; the hooking up culture is taking it's toll - Depression Among College Students Linked to Hook-up Culture, Study Says http://shar.es/krCzN via @sharethis. Please note that there was a report that "students in coed dorms are more than twice as likely to have three or more sexual partners". It is a bizarre and horrible thing that the colleges to which we send our children to become successful and contributing adults refuse to help them to become decent human beings. Hooking up is a great way to practice for infidelity and divorce. At my younger daughter's undergraduate school, ONE girl pushed the administration to make their new housing apartments coed. Coed floors were bad enough, but coed apartments?

Although our Pure Fashion show went very well, I was disappointed in the lack of attendance from girls at my own church. Seeing them come to church in skimpy outfits, tops and short shorts, I would gather that they are not interested in modesty, but I had hoped the mothers would be.

I am very happy also that a few mom bloggers have promised guest blogs for this page and I will be putting some up soon.

God bless,

A Catholic News Agency report in 2011 linked co-ed dorms with the hook-up culture, pointing out that students in co-ed dorms are more than twice as likely to have had three or more sexual partners. - See more at: http://www.cardinalnewmansociety.org/CatholicEducationDaily/DetailsPage/tabid/102/ArticleID/2383/Depression-Among-College-Students-Linked-to-Hook-up-Culture-Study-Says.aspx?utm_source=WhatCounts+Publicaster+Edition&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Will+you+be+surprised%3f&utm_content=Dorm#sthash.PJB8ix3w.dpuf
